Amazing Baptism Week!!! October 18, 2016

Well hello Jones family!! So this week has been easily one of the happiest weeks of my entire life like wow I was so overwhelmed with happiness!! These two ladies flor loordes savedra y sandra caterine quinto agilar were both baptized this week and I got the chance to baptize Sandra. I was so happy and honored!!! I won’t lie, I cried like a baby for the first time on the mission really hard haha. I didn’t know what to do with all of that happiness haha It was so overwhelming!! Saying those words habiendo sido comisionado por jesucristo yo te bautizo en el nombre del padre y del hijo y del espiritu santo amen just is really, really powerful! On Sunday how you guys know it was fast Sunday, flor got up and bore her testimony and oh my goodness from then on everyone, I mean everyone knew there was something  special with her!!! It was so special. The mission doesn’t get much better than that!!! So then today they wanted to go to the temple so we got them their own temple recommends and that was literally incredible to see them with their recommends!!! Wow and today we went and did baptisms all together!!!!! They felt the spirit so strong I just know they did it was incredible!!! This week has been pretty uplifting seeing some of the fruits of our work especially in those ladies because I’ve been working with both of them since the very beginning and wow It is quite literally a miracle what the spirit does to people and how it changes them!!! Amazing week to say the least!!! Well this week has been pretty sweet, my guitar is awesome. I played a special musical number in church and it was quite cool and everyone was like wow gringo playing guitar, ya that’s right haha. it was really fun!! Summers is heading out this next week which I’m pretty nervous about. I’m not sure how much better it gets than summers but I intend to work hard with whoever comes here haha!!! I love the mission a lot and Its always a good time!!! Love you guys and I’m glad you guys are happy at home!!! talk to you guys soon!!!

New Guitar & Intercambios - October 13, 2016

Hey you guys!!! This week has been awesome!!!! so let’s start off with moms questions!!! literally i feel great!!! I feel really in shape and really good about my health!! it was a one day thing and no mas!! number 2 we have Elder sandal he is such a cool guy we do intercambois and he is the zone leader!! He is going to die in one transfer which means he is literally already done with his mission!!! It’s super trunky talking to him but he is super cool and he always is looking how to talk to girls better it is pretty funny!! And now the exciting thing FLOR AND SANDRA ARE GETTING BAPTIZED THIS SATURDAY AT 7 OCLOCK!!!!!!! Then the Sunday after they’re getting confirmed and getting their recommends and then literally tuesday we’re all going to do baptisms for the dead!!!!! That is literally the coolest thing like ever we are so excited for them!!!! and lastly the question of if I will be transferred and most likely I have 2 more transfers in this area but si o si I am getting a new companion this transfer in 2 weeks so that is crazy!!!!!! I don’t have a ton to say this week but I am so excited to baptize sandra and flor! They are awesome and thanks for all of your prayers on my behalf!!!!!(:(: I love you guys so much and that picture of benny and celeste literally weirded the living crap out of me seeing my cousin with my girl friend haha what the heck!!! anyways I’ll talk to you guys soon!!! chao!!!

Pray For Me - October 2, 2016

Hey Mom and Dad, Austin, Kaylee and Aiden!!! This week has been a big fat crazy week!!! This money that you gave me for the guitar, I can promise that won’t be going to waste!!!!! I really want to see austin’s dance from field day could someone send me it I literally want to see it sooo bad!!!! like no one has any idea!!!! I’ll for sure send a picture of it next week if I get it!!!!! I love the mission it is way too much fun!!! General conference was literally amazing like holy mother those guys are geniuses!!!!!!!! It’s like incredible what they can do!!!! That new blog update is freaking sweeeettt!!!! Thanks so much mom for being so freaking awesome with literally everything you do!!!! You are the best!!!! Kaylee and Austin its weird seeing you guys grow up what in the heck you have all already like changed how is that possible!!!!! And aiden keep scootering heck yes bro!!!! That is so awesome!!!! It’s so cool talking to you guys we’ve been working so hard we had 2 investigators that need to be interviewed by the president so that kinda sucks but we think si o si they are gonna get baptized!!! Lately I have been feeling freakishly sick I really don’t feel good today I’m probably gonna go home and die because I feel like throwing up oh my gosh!!!!! holy mother!! But hey Its raining like freaking crazy here like oh my goodness its pouring and we came to centro today to get my guitar and oh my gosh the streets and I mean all of the streets were flooded!!!! sheesssshhh!! But I’m so happy to hear all about you guys doing so well!!! I really feel like crap so it’s hard for me to think of a whole lot I might be going to the doctor but I want to share my testimony before I leave.

I know that Jesus Christ lives, I know that through the debt he paid we can always be forgiven!! men are that men might be that they might have joy something thing like that because I have felt so much joy through everything I’ve been doing here!!! Austin to you I wanna see some vids of you rollerblading!! kaylee hit me with your best pictures because it’s been a while since I’ve seen the prettiest sister!(: MOM you work hard as crap keep working until you reach the top of cleaning business and DAD don’t shoot anyone but keep working!!!! and now one last thing that I remembered that was pretty cool is that I got to play my guitar in 2 baptisms and I was the musical number I played come thou fount  on another kids guitar it was very spiritual knowing that what we do can bring us blessings so much that we can’t handle the blessings, you can’t help but tear up a little bit haha!!!

Well my family I love you all very much and look forward to being healthy once more PPRRAAYYYY for me!!!! love you guys all of you!!

General Conference Week - September 27, 2016

Hola familia!!!(:(:(: estoy re feliz aqui en la mision!!! y  bueno vamos a empezar con los preguntas de la mama!!!(:(:( primer lo siento pero no, no he recibido nada!!!): pero todavia estoy esperando y estoy animdo para recibir sus postcards!!!! segun!! por que paresco tan feliz siempre?? una buena pregunta, primer que tengo el mejor companero del mundo y segun que este mision es el mejor mision del mundo!!! bueno tercer pregunta!!! bueno el mejor comida que he probado seria asado!!!! holy mother asado es como bistec pero sooo much better haha that’s enough spanish for you guys!!!! And the worst food I’ve had here is probably this homemade bread this lady made for us this one time it was sooooo bad like wow she was like ya I make bread especially for people and no she didn’t. It was terrible!!!! Alright numero cuatro and that is that I nunca get to go to the mission home we are literally never ever there we are always in our area!!! So that kinda stinks but hey hopefully sometime soon I’ll go haha!!! So this week was really hard those 4 baptisms all got pushed off for various reasons that really really sucks so we’re not gonna talk about those, but that they will be able to be baptized soon so we just have to keep going with them!!!! I’m really excited for our investigators and still working hard but sheesh!!! This week we are all watching general conference at one huge stake building as a zone and sleeping at their pension the days we are there!!! It will be really awesome and a great time for our investigators to hear the words of the prophet we’ve told them so much about!!!! But ya this week we had to do a lot of intercambios so we don’t get to spend a lot of time in our own area which can sometimes kinda stink!!! So thats cool but hey thats alright!!! and hey mother and father!! next week I am going to buy a guitar!!! on pday if you could put some like i don’t know extra money on my card because it’s a guitar and its gonna be sweet haha that would be awesome!!!!!! But the mission is awesome its already almost October that’s crazyyy!!!! well the time has been flying a little bit but it’s been hard for sure!! Keep writing me letters haha im excited to get them like really really excited haha!!! anyways I love you all very very much!!!! Ill talk to you all soon!!!!(:(:

Argentina Jerseys - September 20, 2016

Well hello everyone!! This week has been crazy!!! We’ve been working a lot and trying to get all of our people ready for baptism this week!!! It’s been insane holy crap!! So a little bit before I start number one that I still have my side satchel. I just wear the backpack because we’re in a really peligroso part of town!!! Sadly some kid got shot a few days ago down the street and there’s been some like riots in the streets but nothing to bad!!! So we always wear crappier stuff.  I haven’t been able to wear my watch as much as I want dang it haha so that stinks!!  My spanish has really been improving!!! I gave my first talk in church on Sunday and I used a sweet story and I hope everyone understood it!! There were definitely some laughs that weren’t supposed to be there... estoy emberazado!! no chiste no dije eso haha!!!! So next question all of these jerseys haha. All of them have been gifts thus far I have two from TALLERES and one from river the sucky team between river y boca!! And then I just bought my first one which is a paris socer jersey and it is siiickkk I freaking love it!!! Next the weather here is getting really hot and the ciesta is a beast!!!! Between 1 and 5 no one is awake and there is nothing to do so we need to plan something to do always!!!!! But the weather is actually amazing!!! Next I sadly haven’t gotten any of the postcards yet but I have lots of letters that will be comng soon haha.  I gotta figure out how to send them!!!! Alrighty onto aidens questions!!! numero uno here’s the thing If I ever say " ya we have our cameras with us, if I speak english, Or if I wear something really nice in the peligrosos areas yes I will get robbed.  si o si but If they rob me guess what they get!!! SALVATION haha we never carry anything important ever haha so no I haven’t been robbed yet but I’m not too worried!! Soy un chasco my espanol es horrible no puedo hablar o charlar con nadie, tal vez estoy recibiendo castigos del senor porque no trabaje muy duro en el ssm!! pero no mi espanol ha mejorado un moonton I can understand almost everyone the wachos are a little hard to understand sometimes but you know haha!!!! MY companion is great my companion didn’t change haha.  I just have summers as the new district leader so that’s pretty sweet we’re always doing a ton of stuff!!! And guess what we got new colchones and they are super comfy haha!!! I love those things!!! Anyways we are supposed to be baptizing 4 this week pray for flor savedrea sandra savedra, and nelson and myra britos, please I love those guys a lot I hope they see how much this gospel will help them!!! The time actually is really fast and I’m already feeling it haha!! What a crazy thing!!! Anyways I love you guys a ton and hope all is well at home glad to see everyone having an amzing time!!! and please take tons of pictures of homecoming and pics of our family I die for pictures!!! Kisses in Argentina - September 13, 2016

Mi familia!! Como estan!! I’ve been having a great time here!!! So first answers to moms questions!  About the guitar I’m still searching.  I’ll probably go and search sometime next - day!!!! I really want to find one!!! About me getting robbed!! now when you act scared and like a whimp in the villas your gonna get robbed! But when all the wachos are looking at you like they’re gonna rob you, walk up to them give them a bro hug and ask them how it’s going. They have no idea how to respond!!! It’s hilarious!! And about that package heeeccckkk yess! Everyone says how awesome it is to get packages here that will be so cool to get one ohhh my gooshhh!!!

Well this week’s happenings!!! y bueno tengo un pocito mas confianza en mi espanol  y puedo entender casi casi todo todavia hay palabras que no conozco and that is really good!!

So about the wedding, they had to push it until this Saturday because they had to do a ton of blood tests. I hope that they can get er done because we are gonna baptize 4 people on the 25th of septiembre, maybe more including them!!! We are really reaping the fruits of our work last transfer!!! So that is really exciting!! I love being able to teach people. It is such a cool experience watching people be converted to the expiacion!! I love watching it!! Anyways now my companion is district leader and were constantly doing stuff. Now I have to do intercambios with a bunch of people and it’s just insane!!! but hey i love it"!! I’ve been keeping a really good journal so that is really good and I have written you all some letter for sure including Elijah, david all of the family, tyler, celeste and I’m still writing!! If you would like a letter ask me ya??? I love writing before bedtime it always is fun to do!!! I’ve been having some really weird dreams lately and their all based in the mission so that is a little crazy!!

Now something weird about the people here. I’ve been getting kissed a ton and I feel bad because after words I have to explain that we can’t do that, but literally every time we go back to talk to the people they forget and just kiss you again!!! But I can’t give up,  there’s this viejo that gives the grosseeessstt kisses oh my gosh! He kisses your cheek and it’s all wet ew oh my gosh like dude que esta haciendo!!

Our investigators are all really progressing flor is amazing!!! she wants to go on a mission now and is constantly pitching in at church!!! She actually a little more active than some people in the ward!!! She’s amazing and we hope she’s our next ward mission leader!!!

And that brings us to our ward mission leader!! He is honestly a little trucho (not a very strong member) but he always argues that he is!! He says “I haven’t missed church in 6 years.” That is really good for him, but here is my special spiritual message for the week haha!! It’s like pandoras box!! Many times people focus on the box on the outside (the church) they’re focused on the activities, having a really good primary program, having amazing super fun activities, but inside the box is what matters (the gospel) which is that Jesus Christ came to earth to die for us so that we could live again through his sacrifice! And through repentance and baptism for the remission of sins we can live with our Heavenly Father again!! So always focus on what’s in the box and not the box itself!!

To finish off mom your cleaners are freaking gorgeous!!! I really want to write singular emails so mom if you could make like a rotation where I can right someone a personal email every week that would be freaking sweet and that week they can ask me questions!!! Kaylee I hope you are freaking having a blast in high school oh my gosh it is such a good time!! Aiden I want you to lean a 180 tail whip best of freaking luck to you so you better be a pro by the time I get back!! dad keep bringing justice to the world and say hello to everyone in your class for me!! and mom keep being so freaking creative with your products because if they were here in Argentina I would buy them that’s for sure!!!!

There's Always Something to Do! - September 6, 2016

Hola mi familia!! Well some huge news and that is that the missionary p day has been changed to Tuesday!! What in the heck, well that is crazy!! Anyway, I’ll answer moms questions first!!  

1. We can’t go to Walmart because sadly we aren’t allowed to go to centro anymore so that really sucks and we can’t leave our areas at all anymore even on p days!! That’s kinda sad but I’m sure I’ll go down there some time doing something!! But no I haven’t found a guitar yet but I’m always searching!!!

2. Me and Elder Summer literally live out of kioskos every day. There are no super markets even close to us!! We live out of little huts that sell stuff and people that make kioskos out of their houses!! So yes that is a little bit weird!!! 

3. Sadly no I wish they did that’s a little trunky but that’s ok haha. Halloween isn’t tooo crazy there in the states but ya no they don’t celebrate that here!!

4. My leg is completely good!! I couldn’t walk really good for about a week but that has past and now it is great and I feel great!!! 

Wow I’m so glad to hear there’s still like life happening back home. Its weird hearing about home out here haha!! sorry the spacebarhereisnt like verygood at all!! Bueno, but some news about the week. This week we’vebeendoing really well!! We found the most ghetto place that there is so that is pretty sweet to see. There are always kids asking us what we have in our backpacks and if you tell them they’ll go tell they’re older brothers and then you’ll get robbed!! So we really don’t let them know what we have and usually were just have books so please come rob us and take the book of mormon!!!! Anyways we found a lot of new people to teach this week!! We found two families of five who are ohh so cool!! They all want to learn more so we are very excited to  teach them!! This week we are going to have a huge marriage and oh my I’m so excited!! We get to go the only people that are invited are us the missionaries of the family and their family!!! The families name is britos. They are the two boys that I took a picture with my first week!! We get to go and it’s going to be a huge party!! Super duper duper excited about that!!! Anyways we bought a ton of fruit this week to eat so that is always sweett!!! I’ve learned how to cook a ton which is also  super duper sick!!! Anyways the mission is always exciting and things are always going on!!!!! I love it here!!

Now a little experience that is always really cool!! We were searching for a family in the ghetto places of our area and we knocked a random door to ask where this guy lived!! So turns out the guy that lived in the house we knocked had been a member for like 20 years and he hadn’t been back to church but we came and said "well I think I need to come back to church" and know he’s coming back!!! Anyway that is always so cool that the lord puts people in our paths to teach!!!

Through our faith we can always accomplish things we never could. And when the things get hard and we think we just can’t do it or, is there any other way remember you’re not the first one to ask that. Someone a lot greater and a lot grander asked that a long time ago. As he suffered in the garden of gesthemene.

I know the church is true and there’s no way I could deny it familia!! Keep reading and keep working hard I love you guys so much!!!!
